ChristaDivisheadshotCHARLESTON, SC – July 26, 2017 – Coastal Community Foundation (CCF) today announced Christa Divis is joining the organization as its Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 14, 2017. Divis joins CCF from Trident United Way where she served as Chief Financial Officer since 2014. She brings with her broad leadership experience in the nonprofit, public accounting, construction, manufacturing, and transportation sectors.

“I am thrilled to have Christa joining our team,” said President and CEO Darrin Goss, Sr. “She will undoubtedly make an immediate impact on the continued improvement of the services we provide our donors, fund holders and nonprofit partners across our nine-county region of service.”

Divis’ appointment punctuates a thorough search process in partnership with Robert Half Staffing that brought several extremely well-qualified candidates through the doors at CCF. “We have made the right choice in Christa Divis,” said CCF Board Chair C. Michael Branham, Esq. “Her leadership style and breadth of knowledge is the right skill set we need to support our growth as well as our strategic community engagement plans.”

“I can’t imagine a more exciting time to join Coastal Community Foundation,” said current Vice President of Finance and Chief Investment Officer Brian Hussain, who is retiring effective December 31, 2017 and transitioning to a consulting role within CCF to lead their new Impact Investing efforts. “Christa will build on our 43 years of excellence in philanthropic financial management, and I look forward to working with her.”

As Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Divis will serve as the primary business operations and financial strategist for the Foundation. She will also serve as Chief Financial Officer for CCF’s affiliate organizations in Horry and Georgetown County—Waccamaw Community Foundation and the Frances P. Bunnelle Foundation. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska Omaha, and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
