J. Marion Simms Foundation announces inaugural class of interns

Lancaster, SC – The J. Marion Sims Foundation proudly announces its first class of summer interns, recently selected from a strong pool of applicants statewide. “These outstanding students will be focused on philanthropy, service, and community development in our region this summer,” says Susan DeVenny, President & CEO. “We are excited to bring their talents to bear in support of our goal to build and sustain a high quality of life in the Foundation’s giving area.” The J. Marion Sims Foundation Internship Class of 2016 includes:
Eaven Austin (Lancaster, SC) A Lancaster High School graduate, Eaven will complete his degree in Psychology at Lenoir-Rhyne College in 2019.
Jared Hayes (Kershaw, SC) An Andrew Jackson High School graduate, Jared has finished his second year at USC-Lancaster and will complete his nursing degree at USC-Columbia in 2018.
Elizabeth Howe (Great Falls, SC) A Great Falls High School graduate, Elizabeth will complete her degree in Communication Studies at Columbia College in 2017.
Hannah Knight (Lancaster, SC) A Lancaster High School graduate, Hannah will complete her degree in Middle Level Education at the University of South Carolina in 2018.
Abigayle Morrison (Lancaster, SC) A graduate of the South Carolina Governors’ School for the Arts and Humanities, Abigayle will complete her Public Relations degree at the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2018.
Savannah Williams (Candler, NC) A graduate of Williams Christian Academy, Savannah will complete her degree in Health Science at North Greenville University in 2017.
