TD Charitable Foundation Supports Community Foundation of the Lowcountry with Donation

Donation Will Go Toward Disaster Recovery and Rebuilding
December 2016 – Hilton Head Island, SC – The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, recently donated a total of $25,000 to Community Foundation of the Lowcountry as part of the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, established in 1994, serves the four-counties of Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton in South Carolina. With over 300 separate funds, their mission is to strengthen the community by connecting people, resources and needs. The funds from the TD Charitable Foundation will go into the Disaster Recovery and Rebuilding Fund, which was established in 2004 to help support the multiple facets of recovery after a disaster.
“After a disaster like Hurricane Matthew, it can take months, and even years, to recover. Many people who’ve lost their homes or their jobs struggle to reclaim their lives,” said Denise K. Spencer, president and CEO of Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. “This generous donation will help us provide funding to those ‘boots on the ground’ organizations that work directly with the individuals and families who are grappling with these kinds of losses. We’re grateful for organizations like TD Charitable Foundation who see the importance of helping the community by supporting our work.”
